As a Director of Mechanical Engineering at CorVent Medical, you will be responsible for leading the design, development, and integration of mechanical systems for our next-generation ventilators and respiratory devices. The ideal candidate will have expert-level proficiency in SolidWorks, extensive experience in valve design, pneumatic system integration, fluid dynamics, and medical device development. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless system integration and performance optimization while implementing DFM and DFA principles to streamline production processes.
Key responsibilities include overseeing mechanical system design and product development by focusing on valves, actuators, air delivery systems, pneumatic integration, fluid flow modeling, thermal analysis, pressure regulation for ventilatory support devices. Additionally, you will provide technical leadership in testing high-precision mechanical components using FEA and CFD analysis while ensuring regulatory compliance with ISO 13485 standards.
To excel in this role, you must possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field with at least 10 years of experience in mechanical engineering within the medical device industry. Strong leadership skills are essential as you will lead a team of engineers to foster innovation and technical excellence. Preferred qualifications include experience with additive manufacturing technologies and knowledge of electromechanical system integration for ventilator control systems.
