Discover International is the retained hiring partner for a Head of Site Engineering position on behalf of a Global organization with a Manufacturing site in Sweden. Our client is committed to delivering high-quality products and services in the pharmaceutical industry while maintaining a strong focus on compliance and operational excellence. We are seeking a dynamic individual with a background in GMP pharma to lead our engineering function, encompassing Facility Management & Site Services, Technical Production Support, Process & CAPEX Projects.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in leading an Operational Engineering function, managing lifecycle processes, capital projects, and driving change management initiatives. As the Head of Engineering, you will be responsible for developing, monitoring performance, and ensuring compliance within the engineering team. You will oversee budget management in coordination with CAPEX/OPEX control while adhering to GMP (EMA, FDA) regulations and operational guidelines. Additionally, you will organize and implement GMP-compliant maintenance activities, calibration procedures, and qualification processes for production facilities and technical equipment. Procurement, construction, and commissioning of new production facilities and technical building equipment will also fall under your purview. Safety (SHE - Safety Health Environment) will be a key focus area that you will be responsible for.
To qualify for this role, candidates must possess an Engineering/Technical degree along with substantial experience in large Pharma Manufacturing & Production Facilities. Biotech experience would be advantageous. A good understanding of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), project management skills, and fluency in English are essential requirements for this position.
