The Vice President of Engineering will play a crucial role in leading all new product development initiatives, technical continuous improvement projects, engineering processes, budget control, and team development across all Douglas Dynamics locations. This senior leadership position will involve defining and deploying corporate strategic objectives while creating a culture consistent with the company's core values. The ideal candidate will have experience in product development involving complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems as well as manufacturing engineering with tooling, automation, and robotics.
Candidates for this role should possess excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively engage with diverse audiences including customers, suppliers, and employees. A Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required with a Master's degree preferred but not mandatory. The successful candidate will demonstrate collaborative leadership skills with a passion for achieving the best outcomes for the business. Experience in leading Project Management Office (PMO) and New Product Development (NPD) processes is essential along with a results-oriented approach to leadership.
