We are currently seeking a Director of Advanced Sensors to lead our team in developing revolutionary technology that will redefine night vision capabilities for military personnel and first responders. In this role, you will oversee the strategic planning and execution of projects to meet customer needs effectively. The ideal candidate will possess an advanced technical degree such as a PhD or Masters in Engineering or Science along with extensive experience leading engineering development organizations within the defense industry. Additionally, semiconductor experience is highly desirable for this position.
As the Director of Advanced Sensors, your responsibilities will include identifying necessary resources for project completion, managing costs efficiently while maintaining quality standards, preparing accurate cost estimates and budget justifications, staffing planning to ensure goal achievement, assessing candidate qualifications thoroughly for hiring/promotion decisions, promoting teamwork and problem resolution through effective conflict management strategies.
To excel in this role, candidates must demonstrate strong leadership skills in managing research programs successfully and implementing product/service goals while monitoring progress diligently. Excellent communication skills both written and oral are essential for effective collaboration within teams and with stakeholders. Proficiency in project management methodologies such as Agile and PMP is required to ensure successful program delivery.
