As the Director of Electrical Engineering, you will be responsible for managing and directing our Avionics and Electronics team at our Houghton, Michigan site. Your primary role will involve overseeing the avionics team, providing technical direction to solve technical problems in production and design efficiently. You will also be tasked with managing non-conforming product resolution and creating engineering resource plans to optimize project staffing. Additionally, you will establish budgets and schedules to lead projects effectively while mentoring less experienced engineers to drive continuous improvements in production systems.

The ideal candidate for this position must hold a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field with at least 10 years of experience in development and production programs for complex electronic products. You should have a minimum of 6 years of team management experience along with expertise in EEE parts selection and supply chain considerations. Experience with electronics contract manufacturers, electronic manufacturing processes such as pick-and-place and solder reflow, as well as space electronics design would be advantageous. A willingness to travel up to 25% of the time is required for this role.
