In this key leadership position, reporting to the Chief Product Officer, you will be responsible for driving engineering and design initiatives to fulfill existing orders and scale manufacturing capabilities. You will lead a multidisciplinary Engineering Team, overseeing specialists in various fields such as mechanical analysis and design, fuel design, radiochemistry, process engineering, and nuclear engineering. Collaboration with project managers to achieve technical and business objectives is essential, along with championing the development of innovative nuclear technologies while pursuing funding for R&D activities.
The ideal candidate will possess a B.S. or higher in an engineering discipline from an accredited university, with over 12 years of relevant experience and at least 7 years in engineering leadership roles. Extensive expertise in engineering principles, project management, and team leadership is required. Experience in nuclear design or space product design is highly preferred. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments with tight deadlines are essential qualities for success in this role.
