We are currently seeking a Vice President of Engineering to join our executive team and lead our engineering department into the next phase of expansion. Reporting directly to the CEO, the selected candidate will oversee a passionate team of designers, analysts, engineers, technicians, machinists, and contractors in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate must possess both technical expertise in rotary/diesel engine development and people skills necessary for effective team management as we anticipate doubling our current engineering headcount of 20 over the next year.

Responsibilities for this role include driving engine and generator development programs, co-authoring technical papers and proposals, preparing for customer meetings, and providing oversight while maintaining technical direction for the team. Previous experience working with government agencies like DOE or DARPA is desirable, along with a background in power generation electronics. The successful candidate will also have prior success leading startups or small companies within manufacturing environments.

The ideal candidate will hold a BS in Mechanical Engineering, with an MSME or Ph.D. being preferred. Additionally, proficiency in software tools such as SolidWorks, Labview, Mastercam, Converge, Matlab, GT Suite, and ANSYS is required.
