We are currently seeking a Vice President of Engineering to join our executive team, reporting directly to the CEO. In this role, you will lead a talented team of engineers through the development of engine and generator programs while overseeing technical direction, management, and leadership for various professionals in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of rotary/diesel engine development, heavy fuel engine calibration expertise, as well as experience with power generation electronics such as alternators, batteries, and PLCs.
The VP of Engineering will play a crucial role in co-authoring technical papers and proposals, engaging with existing and potential customers in meetings, and driving the growth of our engineering team which is expected to double over the next year. To excel in this position, candidates should possess strong communication skills, be decisive in decision-making processes, proactive in identifying opportunities and challenges, and demonstrate strong presentation abilities for diverse audiences including board members, investors, customers, and partners. A background working with government agencies or leading startups/small companies with manufacturing environments is highly desirable.
