Our company, a leading manufacturing firm in the United States, is seeking an Engineering Manager to join our team. As the Engineering Manager, you will play a crucial role in developing strategies to address manufacturing challenges and enhance production performance. You will be responsible for ensuring a strong safety culture within the organization while driving improvements in product characteristics, system capability, and consistency. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you will lead the implementation of new processes and oversee start-up operations and ongoing production activities.
Key responsibilities include overseeing extrusion processes, managing product transitions, coordinating equipment maintenance, implementing new processes, production codes, and raw material blends. You will conduct process improvement trials and develop technical improvement plans based on your findings. Additionally, you will own the development of plant product quality specifications to meet customer requirements while ensuring compliance with industry standards such as ASTM, UL, and R&D Industries.
To qualify for this role, you must have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering along with at least 5 years of manufacturing experience. A Lean certification such as Six Sigma is preferred. Demonstrated success in coaching teams, managing projects effectively, and communicating across all levels of the organization is essential. Some travel may be required (up to 10%) to support customer needs.
