As the Director of Engineering at Illumio, you will play a pivotal role in leading the team responsible for developing platform services and executing platform engineering initiatives. Your responsibilities will include managing integration efforts between applications and infrastructure, ensuring platform architecture correctness, scalability, modularity, and compliance with regulatory standards and best security practices. Additionally, you will be instrumental in growing and developing a high-performing team that delivers top-notch capabilities while partnering with senior technical leads and cross-functional leaders.
The ideal candidate for this position should have over 10 years of experience in technical leadership roles with proven success in building scalable cloud-native enterprise SaaS products. Experience with public cloud infrastructure (such as AWS and Azure), containerization technologies, DevOps tools, networking, security, and software development in regulated environments is highly desired. Strong interpersonal skills, intellectual curiosity, an entrepreneurial spirit, and excellent communication abilities are essential for success in this role. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience is required.
