We are currently seeking a Director of Engineering - Rubber Products to join our team in Tennessee. Reporting to the Division President and overseeing the Global Engineering department for the Extruded Products Division, you will lead a team of product engineers, applications engineers, and chemists. Your main responsibility will be to ensure the development of cost-effective, manufacturable products that meet customer specifications and project timelines while securing customer material approvals and overseeing design/validation testing to support revenue goals.
As the Director of Engineering, your key responsibilities will include directing global engineering teams to meet stakeholder goals, driving product development to achieve five-year revenue targets, ensuring timely customer material approvals and validation testing, collaborating with manufacturing to uphold cost and quality standards, managing department personnel while fostering talent growth, maintaining design standards, protecting proprietary information, and supporting compliance efforts.
To qualify for this role, you must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering (Master’s/MBA preferred) along with at least 7 years of experience in Engineering Management ideally in rubber extrusion and compounding. You should possess strong knowledge in engineering principles, rubber chemistry, extrusion techniques, and product development lifecycle.
