As the Director of Engineering and R&D, you will play a crucial role in leading and overseeing our Global Engineering team, which includes product and applications engineers, as well as chemists. As the Director of Engineering and R&D, you will report directly to the Division President and be responsible for driving product development to meet five-year revenue targets. You will lead global engineering teams to ensure stakeholder goals are met while also securing timely customer material approvals and validation testing. Collaboration with manufacturing teams is essential to ensure that cost and quality standards are met. Additionally, you will manage department personnel, fostering talent growth within the organization. It is imperative that design standards are maintained, proprietary information is protected, and compliance with industry regulations is upheld at all times.

To qualify for this position, candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related field; a Master’s degree or MBA is preferred. A minimum of 7 years of experience in Engineering Management within rubber formulation, extrusion, and compounding is required. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge in engineering principles, rubber chemistry, extrusion processes, as well as product development lifecycle management. Demonstrated experience in managing teams of R&D and Engineering Professionals is essential for success in this role.
