LifeLine Pilots is a mission-driven organization dedicated to coordinating free air transportation for individuals with medical or humanitarian needs far from home. Our team of volunteer pilots plays a crucial role in changing lives through each flight. We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Communications/Public Relations Manager to join us in enhancing our visibility, engaging stakeholders, and promoting our programs and services. This position is remote but requires residency in IL, IN, IA, KY, MI, MN, MO, OH, TN, or WI.

As the Communications/Public Relations Manager at LifeLine Pilots, you will be responsible for developing and implementing communication strategies that effectively communicate our value to pilots, passengers, donors, and the media within our 10-state region. Key responsibilities include overseeing community relations by building relationships with organizations to promote our mission, managing media relations by securing high-quality coverage through various outlets, identifying PR opportunities such as press releases and thought leadership placements, and leading the Outreach Committee to achieve communication goals.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in communications or public relations with a proven track record of successful strategy implementation. A bachelor's degree in a related field is required along with experience in nonprofit sectors being a plus. Strong skills in content creation for different channels like websites and social media are essential. Proficiency in MS Office tools and CRM platforms is necessary. This full-time remote position offers flexibility with core hours from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm (Central Time Zone) along with occasional Midwest travel for meetings or events.
