The Senior Director of Marine Engineering will be responsible for developing and maintaining Product Engineering for Marotta's Marine customer base. This role includes creating Project Proposals, Project Plans, managing Engineering Resources (people, organization, systems, equipment), and establishing internal and external relationships essential to technical and business aspects. The ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor's degree in engineering with 15-20 years of relevant experience in high-tech environments like Aerospace and Military. Strong leadership skills, experience with system design, government contractual procedures knowledge, exemplary communication skills at all levels, computer literacy with MS Office proficiency are essential requirements.
In this role, you will collaborate with various departments to identify engineering needs for market opportunities, engage customers to win new business with Business Development teams, optimize quality and costs with Operations and Quality functions. Additionally, you will evolve the Engineering Organization to meet business needs while ensuring personnel development and retention. Managing project proposals, program costing efficiencies along with tracking/reporting projects progress will be key responsibilities.
