As we continue to expand nationally, we are seeking a dynamic Director of Engineering to lead our talented engineering and design team.
The Director of Engineering will play a pivotal role in providing strategic and operational leadership to our multi-disciplinary team encompassing Process, Mechanical, Civil, Structural, Electrical, and Controls engineering. This individual will be responsible for overseeing the successful execution of engineering projects in various heavy industrial sectors. The role involves leading self-performed design-build project delivery as well as engineering studies and external IFC packages. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a results-oriented approach while interfacing directly with clients.
Reporting directly to this position are the Engineering Manager and Design Manager. Additionally, the Director of Engineering will collaborate closely with peers such as the Directors of PreConstruction, Commercial, Field Services, EPC, and Operations. Essential duties include driving department capability growth, providing strategic direction throughout project lifecycles from feasibility studies to handover phases, building client relationships through proposal strategies development, maintaining successful project pipelines through forecasting processes among others.
Qualified candidates should hold a Bachelor's degree in a relevant Engineering field with preference given to those with Professional Engineer (PE) licensure. A minimum of 15 years' experience in heavy industrial engineering projects with at least 5 years in a leadership role is required. The successful applicant must demonstrate proficiency in managing multiple projects simultaneously while prioritizing effectively. Strong communication skills along with advanced computer literacy are essential for this position.
