As the General Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of a 200+ person manufacturing plant. Your role will involve ensuring operational efficiency, productivity, quality standards, safety, and profitability. Strategic planning, leadership skills, and hands-on management are essential to drive operational excellence and meet production targets while optimizing resource utilization.
Key responsibilities include overseeing daily manufacturing operations to ensure efficiency, quality control, safety compliance with company standards. You will develop and implement operational strategies to meet production targets while optimizing resource utilization. Additionally, you will be responsible for preparing, managing, and monitoring plant budgets to meet financial objectives while leading, mentoring, and developing a workforce of 200 employees to promote a positive work culture. Enforcing health, safety, and environmental policies is crucial to ensure a safe working environment.
The ideal candidate for this role will have a minimum of 7-10 years of manufacturing management experience with at least 3 years in a leadership role managing 100+ employees. Strong leadership abilities along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required. Experience in managing budgets, optimizing processes driving productivity is essential. Knowledge of LEAN concepts is preferred along with a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent qualification. Experience running P/L responsibilities would be advantageous.
