This individual will serve as a partner and trusted advisor to our diverse portfolio of innovative projects, shaping high-level donor communication strategy and providing hands-on storytelling support. The ideal candidate for this role is a creative and strategic leader with a passion for storytelling and engaging donors through compelling communications. You should be a masterful storyteller who can craft emotionally engaging narratives that resonate with diverse audiences. Additionally, you must possess exceptional writing, editing, and content development skills across multiple formats such as case statements, donor reports, and campaign messaging. Experience in designing effective donor engagement strategies and mentoring nonprofit teams on storytelling improvement is crucial. Understanding of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Justice (DEIJ) principles is also essential for integrating these values into storytelling and donor engagement efforts.
As the Strategist for Donor Communications and Storytelling at Multiplier CORE Team, your primary responsibilities will include developing donor communications in partnership with project leaders to inspire generosity; optimizing donor engagement strategies by identifying compelling aspects of projects' work; crafting compelling narratives that align with donor interests; amplifying equity through storytelling; mentoring project teams to strengthen storytelling skills; fostering collaboration among projects; experimenting with creative storytelling formats like videos and podcasts; staying updated on emerging storytelling trends; enriching project stories for consistent sharing; advancing DEIJ initiatives through authentic storytelling; enhancing donor engagement leading to increased retention and new funding opportunities; elevating fundraising success through grant support; curating impactful stories for future use.
