Vice President of Engineering

NAPCO Security Technologies, Inc., based in Amityville, Long Island NY, has been a global pioneer in electronic security systems for over four decades. We are dedicated to creating cutting-edge solutions for the Fire, Burglary, Access Control, Video, Wireless, IoT, and Home Automation sectors. Currently, we are looking for an accomplished Vice President of Engineering to join our team. This role involves overseeing the design of microprocessor-based hardware platforms and collaborating closely with our EVP of Engineering.

As the Vice President of Engineering at NAPCO Security Technologies, you will be responsible for managing and leading the hardware development team through all stages of product development—from concept creation to certification. You will work alongside our Development and Marketing teams to define system-level features and specifications while ensuring that all designs comply with internal and external industry standards. Additionally, recruiting top-tier engineering talent and fostering their professional growth will be a key aspect of this role.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering along with over 15 years of experience in designing microprocessor-based products. A minimum of 10 years as a technology leader is required, as well as expertise in digital and analog design processes. Proficiency in PDM systems like MAPICS is essential. Excellent communication skills, project execution experience, strong organizational abilities, and attention to detail are also crucial for success in this role. Knowledge of embedded firmware development and sub 1GHz RF experience would be advantageous.
