The American Technion Society (ATS), a non-profit organization based in New York City, is dedicated to supporting the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology in advancing critical research and technologies for the global good. With a nationwide network of donors, alumni, and stakeholders, ATS has been instrumental in funding scholarships, research projects, and facilities that have made significant contributions to society. As part of our growth strategy, we are currently seeking a Director of Development to join our team in the Detroit Metro Region.
In this role, you will work closely with the Regional Senior Director of Development to expand our philanthropic impact in Metro Detroit. Your responsibilities will include building and managing a portfolio of high-net-worth prospects, soliciting major gifts, organizing impactful events, and collaborating with internal teams and Technion partners on fundraising strategies. You will also be responsible for tracking donor activity, managing budgets strategically, and engaging with local board members to increase awareness and support for ATS within the region.
The ideal candidate for this position will have 3-5+ years of fundraising experience with a focus on major gifts. Strong communication skills, relationship-building abilities, and a passion for Israel and ATS's mission are essential. A bachelor's degree is required, along with familiarity with Raiser's Edge as an added advantage.
