We are currently seeking a Director of Transportation to join our team in Ohio. The successful candidate will play a crucial role within our organization by overseeing and managing the design and implementation of transportation infrastructure projects. As the key leader in this department, responsibilities will include providing strategic direction for transportation design engineering, developing long-term goals and initiatives to drive departmental growth and success, leading multidisciplinary teams on key initiatives, fostering a collaborative work culture among team members, maintaining strong client relationships, staying current with industry trends and regulations, implementing quality control processes for engineering designs, among other duties.

The ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field with a Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required. Additionally, candidates should have at least 15 years of progressive experience in transportation design engineering with proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and OpenRoads/MicroStation. Strong leadership skills are essential for this role along with excellent communication abilities for effective collaboration with clients and team members. Knowledge of relevant engineering codes, standards, regulations including experience with ODOT and/or INDOT projects is also required.

• 15 years of progressive experience in transportation design engineering
