We are currently seeking a talented Engineering Manager to join our team at Space Information Laboratories. As the Engineering Manager, you will provide technical leadership for strategic product development efforts across various projects including Avionics, GPS Tracking, Autonomous Flight Termination System, and Li-Ion Intelli-Pack® Battery products. You will lead cross-functional teams of engineers through the design, development, implementation, testing, and analysis phases of these projects. The ideal candidate is passionate about technology and thrives on developing innovative solutions to meet our customer's needs.
Responsibilities of the Engineering Manager include providing technical leadership for engineering development, setting targets for milestones and adhering to deadlines within budget constraints. You will be responsible for internal and external design review criteria, contract deliverables approval, interfacing with customers as a technical Point of Contact (PoC), ensuring all technical requirements are met, promoting technical competency within teams, supporting proposal development with technical solutions and estimates. Additionally, you will coordinate program engineering needs effectively with management to ensure fully staffed technical teams.
The successful candidate will have at least 10 years of experience in engineering design or software engineering roles with expertise in systems engineering or analysis interpretation. Required skills include successful technical leadership experience in technology development programs and writing proposal technical volumes. Preferred skills include experience with DoD programs or advanced electronics integration along with excellent communication skills both written and verbal. A Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Aerospace Engineering is required while a Master's degree is preferred.
