Storm4, a specialist GreenTech recruitment firm with clients across Europe, APAC, and North America, is currently seeking a Managing Director for Demand Response in ERCOT. Our client is a market-leading Demand Response platform with global operations spanning the US, Australia, and Northern Europe. They have developed proprietary technology for Large Commercial & Industrial energy users such as Data Centers, Manufacturing, and Food & Beverage clients. As the Managing Director, you will oversee all aspects of business strategy, regulations, commercial engagements, sales operations, and team development in the US.
Key responsibilities for this role include leading strategic market entry and expansion into ERCOT, securing key corporate clients for enrollment into Demand Response programs, overseeing field operations to ensure alignment with customer expectations, establishing budgets and P&L for Texas operations, engaging with key stakeholders including Utilities and ERCOT, driving team culture and headcount growth, cross-functional leadership across US/Australian/European counterparts, and ensuring long-term profitability of the business.
To be successful in this position, candidates must have leadership experience in US electricity markets along with demonstrated cross-functional leadership skills. A proven ability to spearhead new market entries is essential as well as strong subject matter expertise in the ERCOT electricity market specifically related to Demand Response and grid services.
