Director of Electrical Engineering

As the Director of Electrical Design and Engineering, you will play a critical role in leading the technical strategy for multiple new data center developments across the country. You will be responsible for building a high-performing engineering team, overseeing pre-construction and design project management, establishing engineering standards and best practices, ensuring compliance with relevant standards such as IEEE 519, and driving continuous improvement in design and implementation processes. This role offers the opportunity to lead complex projects independently, work on live facility retrofits in mission-critical environments, and build and mentor a team of design engineers.

Ideal candidates for this position should have 10-15+ years of progressive experience in data center design and engineering, with a Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred. Deep expertise in electrical systems, redundancy standards, medium/low voltage switchgear, UPS systems, power generation, strategic thinking skills, stakeholder management abilities, and proven leadership experience are essential. The primary location for this role is Silicon Valley with remote work options available for exceptional candidates. Travel up to 25% is required.
