As a GMS Engineer at World Wide Technology, you will be responsible for managing Prometheus Alert manager alerts across all environments. You will collaborate closely with operational teams to gather requirements on new alerts and configure existing ones. Your role will involve translating alerting requirements into PromQL queries and ensuring consistency in alerts across environments' source code repositories. Additionally, you will create Grafana dashboards to support operational monitoring and develop Fluent-bit pipelines for collecting logs and sending them to Elasticsearch. You will also be involved in creating Kibana dashboards and alerts for logfile monitoring while collaborating with the CA Spectrum team on SNMP event mapping.
Ideal candidates for this position should have experience in managing monitoring systems such as Prometheus Alert manager and Grafana. Proficiency in developing PromQL queries and creating Grafana dashboards is essential. Strong knowledge of Fluent-bit pipelines for log collection and experience with Elasticsearch and Kibana are highly desirable.
