Roles & Responsibilities
Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department.
Provide financial reports and interpret financial information to management while recommending further courses of action.
Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
Maintain and improve internal controls to ensure the integrity of financial reporting.
Collaborate with external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance with accounting standards.
Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure accurate and consistent financial reporting.
Train and supervise junior accounting staff.
Assist in budget preparation and analysis.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
Professional certification such as CPA or CMA.
Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience in a senior role. Experience in the same industry is a plus
Experience in a corporate or public accounting environment.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Advanced proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Detail-oriented and highly organized.

Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.
