We are currently looking for an Area Manager to join our dynamic Fulfillment Center/Sort Center/Delivery stations team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As an Area Manager at Amazon, you will be responsible for leading one of the main teams within your FC, overseeing tasks such as receiving, stowing, picking, packing, or shipping. You will work alongside your peers to ensure smooth workflows and meet customer expectations while managing a team of approximately 80 to 120 associates.
In this role, you will play a crucial part in driving training initiatives for your team, fostering motivation and forward progress. You will be tasked with maintaining safety standards, leading cross-functional teams to solve operational challenges, upholding process quality standards, ensuring inventory accuracy, and continuously improving processes. Additionally, you will become a subject matter expert on larger FC processes and activities while sharing best practices with your colleagues.
As an ideal candidate for this position, you should hold a Bachelor's degree or have equivalent experience in logistics or related fields. You must be willing to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays. Strong leadership skills combined with problem-solving abilities are essential for success in this role. Experience with performance metrics, process improvement techniques, Lean Six Sigma methodologies is preferred.
