We are currently looking for a Subject Matter Expert (SME) specializing in K12 Professional Communications Content Development to join our team on a 3-month contract basis. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in creating educational materials tailored specifically for the K12 sector, with a deep understanding of US state standards. Working closely with our instructional design team, the SME will be responsible for developing curriculum-aligned content, lesson plans, assessments, and real-world examples that enhance professional communication skills for K12 students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop engaging curriculum aligned with state standards for K12 Professional Communications courses.
- Write and update content to incorporate industry trends and best practices in education.
- Collaborate with instructional designers to finalize effective lesson plans.
- Conduct reviews of existing materials to identify gaps and areas for improvement.
- Develop assessments that evaluate student understanding of professional communication concepts.
- Provide real-world case studies and examples to enhance student comprehension.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree or higher in Communications, English, Education, or related field.
- Proven experience in K12 content writing and instructional design.
- Strong writing and editing skills for creating engaging educational materials.
- Knowledge of US-based state standards for curriculum development.
- Familiarity with assessment design and content review processes.
Preferred Experience:
- Previous experience as an SME or instructional designer in K12 education.
- Familiarity with current trends in professional communication and K12 education.
