As a Production Engineer at Caliberly, you will play a crucial role in selecting healthy cockerels and hens for fertilization. You will also be responsible for tending to newly hatched chicks and raising healthy layers for egg production. Your duties will include designing specialized cages for egg collection, disinfecting and cleaning eggs at the processing facility, grading eggs for quality, and packaging them for shipment. Additionally, you will be involved in feeding, watering, and monitoring the health of the chickens to ensure optimal growth and productivity.
In this role, you will track food consumption, body weight, and other factors to breed lean and healthy chickens for meat processing as well as fertile layers for egg production. You will record important data such as chicken size and health status to determine which breeds produce the highest quality offspring. The ideal candidate for this position should have a passion for animal husbandry, strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
