We are looking for an experienced Engineering Director to lead our team of engineers in designing and constructing a state-of-the-art solar panel recycling facility at our start-up factory in Cedartown, Georgia.
As the Engineering Director, you will be responsible for managing and mentoring a team of electrical, controls/automation, and mechanical engineers. Your role will involve overseeing the design, development, and implementation of mechanical, electrical, and automation systems for the new recycling facility. Additionally, you will play a key role in recruiting top talent to build out the engineering team in Cedartown while developing training plans to ensure skill growth and project success. You will also work closely with the Site Director and HR to facilitate a smooth transition and relocation of the engineering team to Cedartown in preparation for the facility's planned startup.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical discipline, along with at least 15 years of industry experience including 10 years in an Engineering Manager role overseeing direct reports. Strong technical skills in mechanical, electrical, and/or automation engineering are required, as well as proficiency in project management software such as Smartsheet. Leadership abilities are essential for this role, along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
