The successful candidate will have the opportunity to lead and scale our engineering teams in Shanghai, Beijing, or Shenzhen while working closely with cross-functional teams to drive growth and operational excellence.
As the Head of Engineering, you will be responsible for driving the architectural vision of our platform to ensure scalability, performance, and reliability as we continue to experience rapid growth. You will lead and expand an engineering team of approximately 40 individuals, fostering a high-performance culture and attracting top-tier talent. Collaborating with product, design, and business teams is essential to deliver seamless user experiences at scale. Additionally, you will implement best practices in software development, DevOps, and security to maintain platform stability and efficiency.
The ideal candidate should have over 10 years of software engineering experience with at least 5 years in leadership roles at high-scale consumer digital platforms. A proven track record of managing and scaling engineering teams in fast-paced environments is required. Strong expertise in distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, modern backend/frontend technologies, marketplace dynamics, growth strategies, and data-driven decision-making is essential. Operating at both strategic and hands-on levels within a high-growth environment is crucial for success in this role. Fluency in English and Mandarin is required due to the necessity of collaborating with global teams.
