We are currently seeking a Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Manager for an upcoming USAID-funded program focusing on enhancing information integrity and resilience across the Sahel region. Operating in Senegal, Burkina Faso, Chad, and Mauritania, this role will be pivotal in overseeing all MEL activities related to data collection, monitoring analysis reporting. The ideal candidate will have experience working with civil society organizations and independent media on topics like information integrity and media strengthening within the specified countries.
As the MEL Manager at Zinc Network's forthcoming program funded by USAID in Senegal-based operations area you will be responsible for designing and implementing a robust MEL system that drives adaptive management through data utilization. Your duties will include developing project indicators, collecting data accurately into databases ensuring adherence to MEL protocols for all program activities. You will work closely with Zinc's HQ-based MEL experts while coordinating feedback loops with project beneficiaries/partners to ensure accountability. Additionally you'll provide training on MEL aspects for other project staff while facilitating internal/external communications about project results against indicators.
To qualify for this role you must possess a Bachelor's degree along with at least seven years of experience leading monitoring evaluation learning activities on international development programs. Deep knowledge of USAID's MEL requirements frameworks is essential as well as demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders including civil society media government officials influencers donors etc. Fluency in both French English languages is required along with the right to work in Senegal where the project will be based.
