Agility, a leading company in the United Arab Emirates, is seeking an Analyst - FP&A to join their dynamic finance team. As a Financial Planning & Analysis Specialist, you will play a crucial role in providing financial insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making within the organization. Your responsibilities will include budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, performance reporting, and strategic planning initiatives.
In terms of budgeting & forecasting, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining annual budgets and rolling forecasts. Analyzing variances between actual and budgeted results will be key to identifying trends and providing insights to improve forecasting accuracy. Additionally, you will need the ability to build detailed financial forecasts encompassing projections of profit & loss (P&L), balance sheets (BS), and cash flow statements (CF).
Financial modeling will be another core aspect of your role. You will build and maintain complex financial models to evaluate business opportunities and support valuations. Conducting scenario planning, sensitivity analysis, and supporting strategic planning initiatives with financial modeling are also vital components of this position.
Performance reporting & analysis will require you to prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Performing scenario planning, sensitivity analysis, evaluating financial information critically, conducting market research on industry trends, analyzing competitor financials/strategies for benchmarking purposes are all part of your responsibilities. Developing key performance indicators (KPIs) and dashboards while providing valuable insights to management is essential for success in this role.
To qualify for this position as an Analyst - FP&A at Agility, candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field. An MBA or professional certification (CFA/CA/ACCA) is preferred along with 3-4 years of experience in financial planning & analysis or related areas. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel with advanced formulas including pivot tables/VBA/macros is required. Technical competencies such as developing/reviewing complex financial models; understanding data sciences applications; knowledge of valuation methods like discounted cash flow (DCF); attention to detail; strong analytical/problem-solving abilities; meeting deadlines under pressure; ethical standards/integrity are necessary qualities.
