Our company, Confidential, is a leader in the manufacturing industry with a strong commitment to operational excellence. We are currently seeking a Director of Operational Excellence to join our team in Los Angeles, CA. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving and coordinating our Manufacturing Excellence program implementation at the site. This position offers a competitive salary ranging from 200-250K.

As the Director of Operational Excellence, you will be responsible for owning the development, implementation, and execution of the plant’s Manufacturing Excellence Program and Continuous Improvement Playbook. Using six sigma and lean disciplines, you will drive continuous improvement projects, lead teams, coach factory personnel, and mentor managers to establish a zero-loss manufacturing culture. You will partner with the entire plant team to identify and prioritize losses while providing technical expertise in resolving bottlenecks to throughput.

In addition to managing critical cost savings projects using project management tools, you will develop management systems, establish work measurement programs, perform line workload observations, and prepare cost/benefit analyses for recommendations to management. Your role will involve training and coaching plant leaders on Focused Improvement methodologies such as Zero Base Analysis, Process Mapping, Kaizen, DMAIC, among others. You will ensure standardization of CI methods across the plant while tracking improvements' sustainability and reporting progress on cost savings execution.
