As the National Sales Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies to achieve revenue, market share, and profitability targets. You will manage the P&L for sustainable growth, analyze market trends, and identify growth opportunities while minimizing risks. Aligning and optimizing the product portfolio with market needs will be crucial in this role. Additionally, you will create annual forecasts, set monthly sales targets by region and product, monitor performance, address variances, and implement actionable plans to drive results.
Leading and developing the sales team will be another key aspect of your role. Conducting field visits, providing feedback, identifying training needs, and grooming potential candidates for higher roles are essential responsibilities. You will collaborate with marketing, regulatory, distribution partners as well as build relationships with key stakeholders such as KOLs and decision-makers. Monitoring sales performance, analyzing reports, implementing corrective actions when necessary are also part of your duties.
The ideal candidate for this position will have 10+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry with a background in sales and marketing. A bachelor's degree in business administration or related fields is required while an MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is preferred. Strong communication skills along with experience in trade and digital marketing are essential for success in this role. Knowledge of the Saudi Arabian market is crucial with experience in Gulf & Iraq markets being advantageous.
