Our company, a leading manufacturing and industrial organization in Saudi Arabia, is currently seeking a dedicated Logistics Director to join our team. As the Logistics Director, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and optimizing our logistics and distribution processes to ensure the smooth operation of our supply chain. The primary responsibilities of the Logistics Director include developing strategic plans to enhance productivity and efficiency, aligning logistics processes with organizational goals, directing warehousing and transportation management, collaborating with department leaders to integrate logistics strategies with corporate objectives, implementing new technologies for operational streamlining, managing budgeting and auditing tasks, ensuring regulatory compliance in transportation operations, overseeing recruitment and training of logistics personnel, conducting performance analysis and setting goals, as well as developing risk management programs for supply continuity during emergencies.
In addition to these duties, the Logistics Director will be responsible for reviewing workflow requirements, analyzing logistical issues for innovative solutions, coordinating the full order cycle optimization, liaising with suppliers and consumers, monitoring stock levels and delivery times for efficiency improvements. This role also involves resolving any problems or complaints that may arise while supervising warehouse staff training and performance evaluations to meet set targets for cost-effectiveness and timeliness.
To qualify for this position, candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related fields such as Logistics or Supply Chain Management. A Master’s degree is advantageous but not required. Professional certifications like Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or Certified in Logistics Transportation and Distribution (CLTD) are highly desirable. Industrial or Manufacturing experience is a must-have requirement for this role.
