We are currently looking for a highly experienced and motivated Director of Manufacturing Engineering to join our team and oversee all engineering aspects in our high-volume production and assembly environment.

As the Director of Manufacturing Engineering, you will be responsible for owning and managing all engineering aspects of high-volume production and assembly for small, intricate precision electro-optic and electro-mechanical assemblies. Your role will be critical in driving the ramp-up of new product manufacturing and scaling our operations to meet growing demand. You will lead the introduction of new products from prototype to full-scale production, drive improvements in manufacturing processes, implement automation techniques, and expand our production capabilities.

Key responsibilities include managing assembly workflow, tooling/fixturing design, process control, automation, testing, adhesive application, potting, soldering, lubrication using modern automated techniques. You will also design complex assembly equipment and vision systems for CNC gluing, parts handling, and assembly. Collaborating with R&D on Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) for new product introductions will also be crucial.

To qualify for this role, you should have a Bachelor's degree in interdisciplinary/integrated engineering or related fields with at least 8 years of relevant experience in high-volume production environments. Proficiency in adhesive application techniques using CNC vision machines as well as expertise in delicate soldering procedures is required. Strong leadership skills are essential as you will be building and scaling a high-performing Manufacturing Engineering Team.

Key Job Requirements:
  • 8+ years of industry-relevant experience in high-volume production and assembly environments
