Stealth, a leading developer in the military infrastructure industry for expeditionary forces, is seeking a Sr. Engineering Director to join their team in the United States. Our mission is to design and field complex military products such as soft-walled frame shelter systems, Airbeam technology shelter systems, rigid wall shelter systems, military trailers, environmental and power trailers, command and control products, and fabric accessories. The Sr. Engineering Director will oversee all product and manufacturing engineering aspects of products produced at our Huntsville and Spokane production sites. This role involves leading technical engineering teams through the full life cycle from development to fielded support of various military products. The ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams including Product Lifecycle Management staff, forward deployed field support, production, quality, manufacturing engineering, and advanced design organizations.
Primary responsibilities include driving execution of the engineering team for soft wall shelters, rigid wall shelters trailers, and power generation systems. The Sr. Engineering Director will also support sales and business development efforts by providing basis of estimate (BOE) on bids and proposals. Additionally, this role will focus on executing technical strategies for cost reduction and process improvements while collaborating with internal customers to maximize value-add across departments.
Candidates must have 10+ years of experience in technical management roles along with a BS in Engineering from an accredited school. An MS in Engineering or MBA is preferred. Desired qualifications include experience with SolidWorks, EPDM, SAP software; knowledge of technical textiles used in military shelters; familiarity with sewing/welding technical fabrics; expertise in welding/sheet metal/assembly design; proficiency in MIL-SPEC requirements; strong leadership skills; quality orientation; excellent communication abilities; and proficiency in standard business software packages.
