As the Director of Transportation at Resource International, you will play a crucial role in leading the design and implementation of transportation infrastructure projects. Your responsibilities will include providing strategic direction for the transportation design engineering department, developing long-term goals to drive departmental growth, overseeing project planning and execution to ensure quality and adherence to timelines, acting as project director on key initiatives while leading multidisciplinary teams, mentoring and inspiring team members towards success, maintaining strong client relationships by understanding their needs throughout projects, staying updated with industry trends and regulations in transportation engineering.
To qualify for this position, you must possess a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field along with a Professional Engineer (P.E.) license. Additionally, you should have at least 15 years of progressive experience in transportation design engineering with proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and OpenRoads/MicroStation software. Strong leadership skills are essential along with excellent communication abilities for effective collaboration with clients and team members. Knowledge of relevant engineering codes and standards is required including experience with ODOT and/or INDOT projects.
