Career Renew is seeking a Head of Engineering - DeFi for one of its clients, a fully remote role open to candidates based in Western Coast US to Eastern Europe. Our client is at the forefront of revolutionizing finance with a fractional-reserve stablecoin, aiming to make banks obsolete through enhanced capital efficiency. With an oversubscribed pre-seed fundraise completed last year, we are now focused on expanding our team and launching our MVP in Q2 of 2025. As part of this exciting journey, you will collaborate closely with our CEO to translate functional requirements and architectural plans into actionable specifications and code. Working with various stakeholders, including UX consultants and Analysts, you will play a key role in shaping the design and functionality of our governance dApp.
In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing both Architecture and Engineering development efforts on a day-to-day basis. Your duties will include collaborating with leadership to realize their vision, managing resources effectively, fine-tuning tokenomic design alongside key stakeholders, translating technical architecture into user stories with UX consultants, and ensuring that development tasks are assigned and completed on schedule. Additionally, you will be involved in advising management on technical hiring decisions and coordinating deadlines to ensure timely project delivery. We are looking for someone who not only possesses strong technical skills but also has a flair for leadership and a passion for driving innovation in the DeFi space.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in well-known DeFi-related organizations, at least 5 years of experience in a technical role with a minimum of 1 year in leadership, expertise in building new products from scratch (not from forks), and a security-first mindset.
