The Director of Engineering will play a crucial role in providing strategic leadership to our multi-disciplinary team consisting of Process, Mechanical, Civil, Structural, Electrical, and Controls engineering professionals. This position involves overseeing the successful execution of engineering projects across various heavy industrial sectors. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a results-oriented approach when interacting with clients. As a senior leader within the organization, this role requires interfacing directly with clients while also bringing organizational leadership capabilities along with technical expertise.
Key responsibilities include leading department capability growth, mentoring department leadership teams, providing strategic direction throughout project lifecycles from feasibility studies to site engineering support during construction phases. The Director will also be responsible for fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, commitment to excellence while identifying opportunities for innovation and capability growth within the Engineering & Design department.
We are looking for candidates with a Bachelor's degree in relevant Engineering field (Civil/Structural or Electrical preferred), Professional Engineer (PE) licensure is preferred as well. The ideal candidate should have 15+ years of progressive experience in heavy industrial engineering projects including at least 5 years in a leadership role managing multi-disciplinary engineering teams. Strong communication skills along with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook are essential for this role.
