About us

We are a leading International Hotel Company. We are looking for highly motivated and experienced Financial Controller who will hit the ground running to oversee the day-to-day financial management of the Hotel. The ability to quickly adapt into the role is essential in order to keep the department operating at its optimum.


This rare opportunity encompasses the financial management of an iconic hotel coupled with the management of a highly skilled and dynamic team. This is a hands-on role processing hotel accounts as well as supervising the quality of work performed by accounts payable and receivable, hotel accounts, the purchasing department and information technology.


Job Role

Review monthly financial reports and supporting schedules prepared by Asst. Financial Controller
Ensure timely reporting to HQ
Prepare monthly forecasts as well as ad-hoc forecasts and projections
Manage cash flow of the hotel including timely remittance of excess funds
Ensure that the profits of the organisation are protected through the establishment of effective budgetary controls and expenditure procedures
Analyze financial statements to summarize current and projected company financial position
Review reports to analyze projections of sales and profit against actual figures, budgeted expenses against final totals, and suggests methods of improving the planning process as appropriate
Perform accurate and timely variance analysis for comparison with budget and monitor actual results against budget commitments
Provide financial project support with accurate costing and profit projections.
Assist, where required, other departmental managers in managing profitability in accordance with budget
Monitor and interpret financial performance, make recommendations and develop insights to enhance business performance of the Hotel.
Manage all phases of Accounts Payable, Receivable and department budget.
Monitor and contain all property inventories to ensure proper levels without causing burdens on property cash flows.
Prepare annual budget, review budget proposals from other departments
Ensure budget is maintained within the approved budget
Review performance against budget and provide recommendations on corrective actions.
Perform financial feasibility of business initiatives, projects, contracts and assess their ROI.
Prepare & review hotel’s Capex and Opex, Contract evaluation and their approvals.


Skills and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance/ Graduate in Accounting or its equivalent
CA/CPA qualified
Minimum 10 years of work experience in a similar capacity
Good command of written and spoken English
Computer literacy and proficient in MS Office applications
Knowledge in using Opera PMS, SUN Accounting System and other accounting software
Experienced in budgeting and forecasting
Proficient in accounting standards, GAAP and IFRS
