Enterprise Risk Manager

Al Balad Development Company (BDC), a heritage-focused master developer and asset manager of the Jeddah Historical District, is seeking an Enterprise Risk Manager to join their dynamic team in Saudi Arabia. BDC, owned by the Public Investment Fund, aims to provide an authentic experience, build a vibrant community, and establish Jeddah Historical District as a global historical destination inspired by ancient heritage and diverse culture.

As the Manager, Enterprise Risk Management (ERM), you will be responsible for leading the organization’s enterprise risk management framework with a specific focus on business continuity (BC). Your role will involve identifying, assessing, mitigating, and monitoring risks across operational, financial, strategic, and regulatory areas while ensuring alignment with corporate goals and regulatory requirements. You will guide the development and execution of risk management strategies, support business continuity planning and execution, and collaborate with senior leadership to integrate risk management practices into operational processes. Additionally, you will manage a team of risk management professionals to ensure effective implementation of risk management activities throughout the organization.

In this role, you will lead business continuity planning and disaster recovery initiatives to ensure that BDC has robust plans in place to continue critical operations during disruptions. You will work closely with department heads to develop, implement, and test BC and DR plans to prepare for various crisis scenarios. Conducting business impact analyses (BIA) will be crucial in determining critical functions and dependencies for ensuring the continuity of essential services. Collaboration with senior management and key stakeholders is essential to align BC strategies with organizational objectives and regulatory requirements.
