As a QC Engineer at Kirby Building Systems, your primary responsibility will be to ensure that every project strictly adheres to requirements set forth by the shop. You will play a crucial role in preparing job ITP/QP as directed by the supervisor, establishing new procedures and methods when necessary, and obtaining approval for these changes. Additionally, you will be responsible for suggesting or developing new fixtures to enhance project efficiency. Your role will involve guiding and training QC Inspectors while cross-checking their outputs to guarantee compliance with ITP/QP requirements. You will also be expected to lead inspection teams as needed and perform inspections where necessary.
The ideal candidate for this position should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in similar industries and hold certifications in disciplines such as AWS/CSWIP, NACE/BGAS, or NDT Level-II. You must have a strong understanding of fabrication, welding, NDT, and painting activities according to their respective codes.
