Job Summary
This is a newly created role within a Regional team that will enable the right candidate to not only add bring their technical experience but also drive operational excellence through innovation, communication and passion for the role. Coming into an established team we are still looking for someone to challenge themselves and those around them, look for innovative ways to drive successful metrics and be able to deliver alongside their colleagues and all external partners.
Recent experience with an Enterprise Carrier demonstrating significant skills with Telecom Design and Networking will be highly beneficial, as will proven success within engineering, operations, design, and construction of premium Data Centers.
Responsibilities
Project Management, Skills, & Leadership
The right candidate will have expert experience in coordination and completion of CapEx budgets, setting timelines, assigns responsibilities, monitors, and summarizes progress of projects
Facilitates projects by conducting meetings, recording meeting minutes/action items, and performing complete and thorough follow-up
Oversees and approves Purchase Requisitions and Purchase Order tracking process, and ensures orders are processed in accordance with Equinix’s service and operational standards to facilitate data integrity and invoice accuracy
Technical Writing
You will serve as the content owners for a range of Technical Specifications and including all technical documentation and user manuals and maintain Global Equinix standards for Telecom and Interconnection
Develops methods and materials for assembling best practices for other Digital Infrastructure staff, and prepares curriculum including ideas for group discussions, demonstrations, and workshops
Able to travel across the Region where needed to domestic and international sites, for installation oversight, support, follow-up, and training
Engage with Site Operations to gather input on local design requirements
Qualifications
10+ years experience in project and construction management preferred
Bachelor's degree preferred
