Regional Finance Controller
An opportunity for a Regional Finance Controller has just been made available with a multinational commodity firm to be based in Singapore. This firm is one of the pioneers in breaking through cutting-edge technologies to provide high-performance solutions to their clients.
About the Role:
The role is a fantastic opportunity to work with multiple stakeholders across the region to provide advice to the business and support the development and execution of strategic decision making. You will also be responsible for the development, maintenance, control, and improvement of the accounting systems and processes.
Main responsibilities:
Act as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to business units
Oversee monthly closing, ensuring financial statements are true and fair and in accordance with local IFRS
Oversee financial analysis activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
Provide advanced financial modeling and analysis to support strategic initiatives
Manage audit process, annual statutory filing process for the region
Liaise with external advisors for preparation of annual transfer pricing review
Management Banking Relationships and apply for new trade Finance Facility
Review cash forecast and collaborate with corporate to maximize cash utilization
Main requirements:
MBA, Degree in Accounting, CPA/CA with minimum 15 years of experience within the commodity or trading industry
Regional experience is a must especially within Hong Kong and Indonesia
Strong analytical skills to contribute and support strategic and forward thinking
Experience effectively in managing a wide range of stakeholders and building relationships
Sound written and oral communication skills, strong management and interpersonal skills
