We are currently seeking an Engineering Manager to join our team. The primary responsibility of the Engineering Manager is to ensure all engineering systems within the building are operating at their highest capacity, promptly attending to engineering requests, and maintaining equipment in optimal condition. Reporting to the Cluster Director of Engineering, the Engineering Manager will play a crucial role in upholding Fairmont's brand service standards and ensuring that all colleagues follow these standards diligently.
Key responsibilities of the Engineering Manager include coordinating with engineering contractors, maintaining stock levels in the Engineering store, conducting departmental training sessions, and ensuring strict adherence to safety rules by all colleagues at all times. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 2 years of technical education training or Diploma in a relevant trade, along with at least 3 years of hands-on experience in a 5-star hotel engineering operation. Previous hotel experience is considered an asset, as well as experience working in the UAE.
The successful candidate must be flexible with working hours, possess strong decision-making skills in a fast-paced environment, demonstrate computer literacy in Windows and MS Office Suite, and exhibit reliability and responsibility at all times. They should also have excellent communication skills and be able to focus on guest needs while remaining calm and courteous under pressure.
