AD Ports Group, a prominent player in the maritime industry in the United Arab Emirates, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accountant - Credit Control for their Economic Cities & Free Zones division. As an Accountant - Credit Control, your primary responsibility will be to proactively manage debt collection on assigned portfolios of accounts within the EC&FZ division. You will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with approved credit policies while assisting senior management in executing an effective credit control and collection function based on credit policy guidelines. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities include handling the EC&FZ collection process to recover outstanding receivables promptly according to credit terms, managing cash/cheques from investors, validating amounts received with Receivables Accountants, initiating customer statements of account, following up with customers for overdue payments, maintaining accurate records of customer payments and follow-up activities, preparing reports on cash collection and accounts receivables as requested by Clusters, preparing documents for month-end closing procedures, acting as an Accounts Receivables Receipt User for the Accounts Receivables Module, among others.

The ideal candidate for this role should possess a Bachelor's degree in Finance or a relevant field, at least 2 years of experience in a similar role focusing on finance, accounts receivables, credit control etc., knowledge of ERP and CRM systems (preferably Oracle financials), excellent English language skills (Arabic is an added advantage), strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, analytical skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word and Access.
