As a Financial Controller at Aventus Global Talent, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate financial records and compliance with UAE & International Accounting standards/policies.
As the Financial Controller, you will serve as the single point of contact (SPOC) for IFRS accounting and external financial reporting. Your responsibilities will include overseeing record-to-report, invoice-to-pay, travel and expense, and invest-to-capitalize sub-streams. You will be tasked with drafting/recommending changes to/new accounting policies and procedures under IFRS methodology. Additionally, you will lead monthly financial close activities and review all subledger entries as part of the monthly close process. Your role will also involve approving manual journals and non-PO invoices, setting up allocation and FX revaluation in GL, reviewing general ledger reconciliations, bank reconciliations, intercompany reconciliations, trial balances, and consolidated financial statements.
Furthermore, as the Finance SPOC for external audits, you will ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory financial reporting requirements. This includes reviewing and submitting external reports such as VAT returns after manager review. The ideal candidate for this position should have a strong background in accounting principles and experience working with IFRS standards. Attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively under pressure are essential qualities we are looking for in potential candidates.
