Senior Accountant

We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in accounting, financial management, and reporting within the building materials trading or construction sector. As a Senior Accountant at Tajer Building & Construction Materials Trading, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records, overseeing accounting operations, and providing valuable insights to support business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day accounting activities such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger/bank reconciliations.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Monitor cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting to support financial planning.
- Ensure timely VAT filing and compliance with UAE tax regulations.
- Oversee payroll processing in adherence to WPS regulations.
- Coordinate with external auditors for annual financial audits and statutory compliance.
- Implement and enhance internal financial controls and processes.
- Assist management with financial reporting, variance analysis, and cost control.
- Support ERP implementation and automation of accounting processes.

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field. Professional qualification (CA, CPA, ACCA or CMA) preferred.
- Minimum 5+ years of accounting experience in the building materials trading or construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of UAE VAT laws and financial regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, SAP).
- Excellent analytical skills with problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work independently on multiple tasks efficiently.
