As a Senior Accountant at The ENTERTAINER in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, you will be responsible for processing daily supplier payments in compliance with company policies and financial procedures. You will maintain precise financial records, resolve discrepancies promptly, and conduct regular reconciliations of all company bank accounts to ensure alignment between records and statements. Additionally, you will serve as the primary liaison with banking service teams and relationship managers to address financial inquiries efficiently.
Key responsibilities also include overseeing the verification, booking, and reconciliation of company credit card transactions; preparing periodic reconciliations for delivery merchant accounts; generating and processing monthly sales invoices accurately; assisting in calculating statutory payroll deductions; supporting ERP system implementation and optimization; collaborating with cross-functional teams for financial process integration; preparing monthly financial schedules to track actual results against forecasts or budgets; attending business meetings to address financial queries; proposing solutions for process improvements; fostering collaboration with internal departments for smooth financial operations.
To qualify for this position, candidates must hold a CPA, CA, or ACCA qualification along with 3-5 years of experience in financial accounting within the delivery or logistics industry. Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and other Microsoft Office applications is required. Experience with accounting software such as Oracle or similar ERP systems is preferred. Strong attention to detail, commitment to financial accuracy, expertise in reconciliations and data integrity are essential qualities sought after. Excellent communication skills, ability to perform under pressure while meeting strict deadlines are also key attributes desired.
